What was the Invest in Bethlehem campaign?

Invest in Bethlehem was a nonpartisan fundraising and community spirit initiative organized by the Bethlehem Democratic Committee (BDC) that aimed to use the energy, muscle, and reach of the BDC to do good, raise funds for families, and support local businesses most in need during this COVID19 crisis in the following ways:

1. Fundraise to support the Bethlehem Community Fund and the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce.
2. Showcase support for our local businesses by using our social media and other platforms to encourage purchases and support for local retailers.
3. Encourage community gestures of support. These gestures could be as simple and powerful as checking in on neighbors, doing chores for those who are challenged, drawing a chalk rainbow on a walkway, or picking up trash in local parks. Together we are one Bethlehem!

We are proud to have raised nearly $25K from our community to help our local businesses and families, $4K of that contributed directly by the BDC.
